What we store

Your account (email, username), your library (books, ratings, rankings, shelves, notes, highlights, reading sessions), and product analytics events. Data lives in Supabase (Postgres, US region) and is scoped to your account with row-level security.

AI processing

AI features (book mirrors, recommendations, study guides, Socratic discussions, playbooks) send book metadata and your taste profile to Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (GPT) to generate output. Your personal context is never included unless you explicitly set it via the MCP integration, and it is never shared with other users. AI outputs are cached to reduce cost.

Public content

Your profile, shelves, and reviews are visible to others only when marked public. Rankings contribute anonymously to the community Top 100; hiding your profile does not remove that anonymous contribution.

Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, never card details.

Your data, your call

Export everything (JSON or CSV) at any time from Settings → Export. Deleting your account cancels billing and permanently removes all of your data.
